Session 3 - Week 1 - Today, we created bunny faces using recycled materials. Our bunny heads are cardboard. Each child picked out their own materials (buttons, newspaper, pipe cleaners, coffee stirrers, paper doilies) to create their bunnies face. They did an excellent job with our first craft. Also, it’s a perfectly craft to use as an Easter decoration. There is no class next week. We will meet again on 4/8. Have a great night. 🐰
Today was our last class of session 2 for Music Enrichment. This week’s instrument was the piano. We learned about the keyboard and then each child had the opportunity to play the floor piano. They really enjoyed today’s class. Next week starts Session 3 - Introduction to Keyboarding.

Did we catch a leprechaun? Mrs. Cajowski’s and Mrs. Prasert’s TTH 2’s class tried to catch a leprechaun today. They set their trap but he got away. He made a mess of the classroom and dropped his gold. Maybe next year, we will get him! ☘️🍀
Art Enrichment class has begun their final masterpiece for Session 2. Today was our Famous Artist Session featuring Claude Monet’s Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies. The children recreated this famous painting using paint to cover their canvas. The canvas was prepared with painters tape to create the bridge prior to class.
After the art lesson, the child decided if they wanted to use their fingers or a circular sponge as a brush to create their painting. They all choose to use the sponge brush.
Next, they began creating their impression of the trees, a pond and water lilies. Once dry, we pulled the tape off to reveal the bridge outline and their beautiful landscape. Next week, we will add our finishing touches.
This lesson was a favorite amongst the teachers and students. We will be showcasing this project in our school, so please keep an eye out to see their gorgeous artwork displayed. Exceptional job, our little artists! 🎨🧑🎨👨🎨
Next week is the final class for session 2.
We finished working on our Monochromatic art project in enrichment today. This is a type of art only uses one color or hue.
Each child came to the art table and picked various types of materials that were in the same color or hue as their painted canvas. Then they applied glue to their cardboard canvas and added the different types of materials creating their final product. They came out amazing. We have some very talented artists!
